No. 2 Ohio State is favored by 6.5 points at USC in its first full game without Julian Sayin. No. 20 Northwestern travels to an Oregon team that just lost Dante Moore for the season and fired its offensive coordinator. No. 25 Wisconsin gets 3.5 points at Iowa, a place the Badgers haven't won since 2018.\n\nSeveral outlets note six of seven highlighted best bets this week back the road team, with four of those games also drawing under picks on the total. One pick sheet points to Notre Dame against a service academy opponent as an expected blowout, noting the Fighting Irish have beaten service academies by no less than 35 points in recent years and are looking to regroup after an idle week following a loss at BYU.\n\nElsewhere, Wisconsin already delivered on one marquee number this season, having beaten then-No. 16 USC 24-7 for the Badgers' first regular-season win over the Trojans in program history. That result is being cited as context heading into another heavy slate of ranked matchups this weekend.","published_at":"2026-10-30T22:05:00.494376+00:00","source_count":4,"written_from":[{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"College football picks: Predictions against the spread, odds, betting lines for top 25 games in Week 9","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/college-football-picks-predictions-spread-odds-betting-lines-top-25-games-week-9/"},{"outlet":"New York Post","publisher":"New York Post","title":"The Post’s expert College Football Week 9 picks, best bets, grid","url":"https://nypost.com/2026/10/30/betting/the-posts-expert-college-football-week-9-picks-best-bets-grid/"},{"outlet":"Fox Sports","publisher":"Fox Sports","title":"Chris 'The Bear' Fallica's College Football Week 9 Expert Picks, Best Bets","url":"https://www.foxsports.com/stories/college-football/chris-the-bear-fallicas-college-football-week-9-expert-picks-best-bets"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Week 9 college football best bets: Northwestern, Wisconsin lead road-heavy card","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/week-9-college-football-best-123831580.html"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"College football bets: Week 9 odds, parlays for favorites and underdogs include Utah, Wisconsin","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/betting/news/college-football-bets-week-9-odds-parlays-for-favorites-and-underdogs-include-utah-wisconsin/"},{"outlet":"Fox Sports","publisher":"Fox Sports","title":"College Football Week 9 Odds, 5 Sleeper Games To Watch","url":"https://www.foxsports.com/stories/college-football/college-football-week-9-odds-5-sleeper-games-watch"},{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"How to bet on 2026 Week 9 college football: Betting guide, odds, trends, game previews, over $3,000 in promos","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/how-to-bet-on-2026-week-9-college-football-betting-guide-odds-trends-game-previews-over-3000-in-promos/"},{"outlet":"Fox Sports","publisher":"Fox Sports","title":"College Football Week 9 Betting Report: Books Need Florida To 'Hang In There'","url":"https://www.foxsports.com/stories/college-football/college-football-week-9-betting-report-books-need-florida-hang-there"},{"outlet":"New York Post","publisher":"New York Post","title":"College football Week 9 predictions: Best bets, picks against the spread","url":"https://nypost.com/2026/10/30/betting/college-football-week-9-predictions-best-bets-picks-against-the-spread/"},{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"Ohio State vs. USC prediction, odds, time: Week 9 college football picks from proven model","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/betting/news/ohio-state-usc-prediction-odds-time-week-9-college-football-picks/"}],"image":{"url":"https://sportshub.cbsistatic.com/i/2026/10/30/b9cc612d-236f-40da-ab68-fcbcb4abf468/mensah-miami-t25-picks-1.jpg","credit":"CBS Sports","width":1920},"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
