The 27-year-old has booked a Christmas Eve fight in Dubai, his first bout since Anthony Joshua broke his jaw in two places in their last meeting.\n\nThe return comes almost a year to the date after that loss, which left Paul sidelined while he recovered from the injury. Details on an opponent and a streaming partner for the Dubai card are still being worked out, with the broadcast situation reportedly in question.\n\nPaul called the comeback his \"next chapter,\" signaling he intends to keep building his boxing career rather than step away after the Joshua defeat. The Dubai date gives him a high-profile stage to try to put the loss behind him, though no opponent has been confirmed yet.\n\nMore details, including the matchup and broadcast plans, are expected to be announced as the December date approaches.","published_at":"2026-10-29T21:48:43.305445+00:00","source_count":4,"written_from":[{"outlet":"ESPN","publisher":"ESPN","title":"Jake Paul ready for 'next chapter,' books Dec. 24 return in Dubai","url":"https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/50316376/jake-paul-ready-next-chapter-books-return-dubai"},{"outlet":"New York Post","publisher":"New York Post","title":"Jake Paul’s boxing return set for Christmas Eve in Dubai, with streaming partner in question","url":"https://nypost.com/2026/10/29/sports/jake-pauls-boxing-return-set-for-christmas-eve-in-dubai-with-streaming-partner-in-question/"},{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"Jake Paul says he will return to boxing with Dubai fight on Christmas Eve","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7732996/2026/10/29/jake-paul-boxing-return-when/"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Jake Paul set for boxing return on Christmas Eve, a year after suffering broken jaw vs. Anthony Joshua","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/boxing/breaking-news/article/jake-paul-set-for-boxing-return-on-christmas-eve-a-year-after-suffering-broken-jaw-vs-anthony-joshua-113607786.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Jake Paul to fight on Christmas Eve, but against who is unclear","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/jake-paul-fight-christmas-eve-120249501.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Jake Paul to return from broken jaw for Christmas Eve boxing bout","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/jake-paul-return-broken-jaw-123829968.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Jake Paul’s return fight location & date announced","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/jake-paul-return-fight-location-132849068.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Jake Paul announces date, location for boxing return: ‘Somebody’s getting knocked out’","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/jake-paul-announces-date-location-133000035.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Jake Paul confirms Christmas boxing return with ‘plenty’ of opponents waiting to sign contract","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/jake-paul-confirms-christmas-boxing-142158539.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Jake Paul Announces Christmas Eve Netflix Return: 5 Guesses For His Opponent, Including Manny Pacquiao","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/jake-paul-announces-christmas-eve-144204895.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"JaKe Paul booked for Christmas Eve boxing return","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/jake-paul-booked-christmas-eve-151445755.html"}],"image":{"url":"https://a2.espncdn.com/combiner/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2025%2F0917%2Fr1547068_1296x729_16%2D9.jpg","credit":"ESPN","width":1296},"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
