No corresponding roster move or return timeline has been announced beyond the expectation that Noel is done for the year.\n\nFor Houston, it means adjusting the receiver rotation without a player they had been counting on. The team has not detailed who absorbs his snaps, but losing a contributor to IR this way typically shuffles target share across the rest of the depth chart.\n\nThere is no word yet on next steps for the Texans at the position.","published_at":"2026-10-28T22:35:19.308693+00:00","source_count":3,"written_from":[{"outlet":"ESPN","publisher":"ESPN","title":"Texans put WR Noel on IR with expected season-ending turf toe injury","url":"https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/50311414/texans-put-wr-jaylin-noel-ir-turf-toe-injury"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Report: Texans expect Jaylin Noel to miss the rest of the season","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/report-texans-expect-jaylin-noel-215112244.html"},{"outlet":"Pro Football Talk","publisher":"NBC Sports","title":"Report: Texans expect Jaylin Noel to miss the rest of the season","url":"https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-texans-expect-jaylin-noel-to-miss-the-rest-of-the-season"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Texans WR Jaylin Noel will miss rest of the season with turf toe injury","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/texans-wr-jaylin-noel-miss-222004422.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Texans place Jaylin Noel on IR, claims ex-Cowboys rusher off waivers","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/texans-place-jaylin-noel-ir-001717539.html"}],"image":{"url":"https://nbcsports.brightspotcdn.com/dims4/default/9e0375e/2147483647/strip/false/crop/1920x1080+0+0/resize/1920x1080!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fhdliveextra-a.akamaihd.net%2FHD%2Fimage_sports%2FNBCU_Sports_Group_-_nbcsports%2F743%2F538%2Fnbc_pft_texans_bad_261027.jpg","credit":"Pro Football Talk","width":1920},"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
