Rays push Brewers to Game 5 with walk-off win

Milwaukee still leads the World Series 3-1 after Tampa Bay's extra-inning victory, with Jacob Misiorowski set to start Game 5.

The Rays are still breathing after a 12th-inning walk-off single from Ben Williamson forced a Game 5 at Tropicana Field. It was a long night for both bullpens, with the Brewers using eight pitchers and the Rays going through seven, including Nick Martinez, who had started Game 1 and was in the mix to start Game 5 before being used out of the bullpen instead.

Despite the loss, Milwaukee still holds a 3-1 series lead and arrives in a better position than Tampa Bay heading into tonight. The Brewers will hand the ball to Jacob Misiorowski as they go for their first championship, while the Rays' pitching plans remain less certain as they try to stave off elimination again.

Milwaukee's late-game relief core of DL Hall, Abner Uribe, Trevor Megill and Aaron Ashby all saw work in Game 4, but the team is expected to have more fresh arms available than Tampa Bay, who is likely to go all hands on deck again. The Brewers, sitting comfortably ahead in the series, don't need to match that urgency and can afford to be more measured with their bullpen tonight.
