Brewers one win from first title as World Series shifts to Game 4

Milwaukee carries a 3-0 series lead into Tropicana Field looking to finish off Tampa Bay on Tuesday night.

The Brewers can wrap up their first World Series championship tonight, holding a 3-0 lead over the Rays heading into Game 4 at Tropicana Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. central time, with Tampa Bay set to start Griffin Jax. Milwaukee had not named a starter, though Dustin May was reportedly expected to take the mound.

Milwaukee's lead came together after a Game 3 blowout, a 10-1 win built around an eight-run fifth inning. The Rays managed only a single run in that game, an RBI double from Yandy Díaz off Brandon Woodruff in the ninth. It was Díaz's first extra-base hit of the series after he had gone hitless through the first two games and entered Game 3 0 for 9.

Tampa Bay now needs a win just to keep the series alive, while the Brewers get a chance to close things out on the road. A win tonight would give Milwaukee its first World Series title in franchise history.
