Head coach Jesse Minter says the quarterback is pushing to return from his high-ankle sprain but a decision likely won't come until Wednesday.
Lamar Jackson's status for Baltimore's Week 8 game against the Bills remains up in the air. The quarterback looked like he was trending toward playing against the Bengals last week, only for the Ravens to downgrade him to out on Saturday, a surprising call given the team was playing at home.
Head coach Jesse Minter addressed the situation in his Monday press conference, saying Jackson is "working his butt off to be back and be out there." Minter noted Jackson got in a little bit of work toward the end of last week and should be in a decent spot, though he stopped short of any guarantee. "We'll know a lot more on Wednesday," Minter said.
The injury is a high-ankle sprain, not something teams typically rush quarterbacks back from. There has also been reporting that the Ravens were caught off guard by Jackson's out designation before the Bengals game, adding another layer of uncertainty to how this week plays out.
Baltimore will need clarity soon as it prepares for Buffalo, with Wednesday shaping up as the key checkpoint for Jackson's availability.
