The All-Pro safety told reporters the officiating has been \"bulls--t\" this season and is \"f-----g\" up games the Packers play in, saying he sees a pattern and it's killing his team.\n\nThe Packers were flagged eight times in the loss, and head coach Matt LaFleur was visibly heated with officials on the sideline throughout the game. LaFleur, however, declined to make the officiating the centerpiece of his postgame comments, choosing instead to focus on his team's performance.\n\nMcKinney's comments stood out as the most pointed reaction in a locker room where several players sounded off about the calls that went against them. With the loss, Green Bay will need to clean up its own mistakes and hope for cleaner whistles if it wants to avoid a repeat of Sunday's frustrations.\n\nThe Packers have not publicly indicated whether they plan to pursue any formal complaint with the league office over the officiating in the game.","published_at":"2026-10-26T16:07:40.188001+00:00","source_count":5,"written_from":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Packers S Xavier McKinney: I see what's going on with officiating and it's killing us","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/packers-xavier-mckinney-see-whats-110525616.html"},{"outlet":"Pro Football Talk","publisher":"NBC Sports","title":"Packers S Xavier McKinney: I see what's going on with officiating and it's killing us","url":"https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/packers-s-xavier-mckinney-i-see-whats-going-on-with-officiating-and-its-killing-us"},{"outlet":"New York Post","publisher":"New York Post","title":"Packers’ Xavier McKinney blasts ‘bulls–t’ officiating after controversial calls in loss to Lions","url":"https://nypost.com/2026/10/25/sports/xavier-mckinney-goes-off-on-bulls-t-officiating-in-packers-loss/"},{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"Packers players sound off about officiating after loss to Lions","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7725385/2026/10/25/packers-players-officiating-lions-mckinney/"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Packers’ Xavier McKinney calls out refs in wild NSFW rant after loss to Lions","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/packers-xavier-mckinney-calls-refs-050719100.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Packers’ Xavier McKinney blasts ‘bulls–t’ officiating after controversial calls in loss to Lions","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/packers-xavier-mckinney-blasts-bulls-031238226.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Packers Star Xavier McKinney Unloads on Officials After Loss to Lions","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/packers-star-xavier-mckinney-unloads-111355694.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"‘We all see what’s going on’: Packers star not happy with referees","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/see-going-packers-star-not-113005240.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Green Bay Packers: Keisean Nixon believes the NFL has it out for Jordan Love after 20-17 loss to Detroit Lions","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/green-bay-packers-keisean-nixon-123732363.html"},{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"Packers blast officiating after loss to Lions: 'It's bulls---' and 'f---ing up the games'","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/packers-blast-refs-after-loss-vs-lions-xavier-mckinney/"}],"image":{"url":"https://nbcsports.brightspotcdn.com/dims4/default/43119bd/2147483647/strip/false/crop/1920x1080+0+0/resize/1920x1080!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fhdliveextra-a.akamaihd.net%2FHD%2Fimage_sports%2FNBCU_Sports_Group_-_nbcsports%2F598%2F19%2Fnbc_pftpm_detgb_261025.jpg","credit":"Pro Football Talk","width":1920},"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
