His 155th touchdown pass for Los Angeles surpassed Roman Gabriel's longstanding franchise mark as the Rams rolled to a big halftime lead in Las Vegas.
Matthew Stafford threw his 155th touchdown pass for the Rams on Sunday, breaking the franchise record previously held by Roman Gabriel, who threw 154 TD passes for Los Angeles from 1962-72.
The record-breaking throw also made Stafford the first quarterback in NFL history to lead two different franchises in passing touchdowns, having previously topped the list for the Detroit Lions before his trade to the Rams.
Stafford was sharp throughout, piling up three touchdown passes as the Rams built a 28-6 lead over the Raiders at halftime in Las Vegas. The offense looked in full control early, giving Stafford plenty of chances to pad his new franchise mark.
Gabriel's record had stood since his playing days with the Rams, making Stafford's achievement a notable marker in a career that has now left its stamp on two organizations.
