Jackson says he is heading in the right direction after missing Baltimore's last two games.
Lamar Jackson is officially questionable for Sunday's AFC North matchup between his Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals. Baltimore made the designation on its final injury report of the week after Jackson logged a week of limited practices.
Jackson has missed Baltimore's last two games with a sprained ankle. He confirmed after practice that it is in fact a high ankle sprain, pushing back a bit on earlier reporting that suggested otherwise. "My staff told me it was a high ankle sprain, so we're going with what" they said, Jackson explained, adding he can't go off what reporters relay secondhand.
The two-time NFL MVP said he is "heading in the right direction" but remains unsure if he will actually suit up. He was seen warming up at Ravens practice this week, a sign his recovery is progressing even if his final clearance is still up in the air.
The Ravens, at 4-2, host the Bengals, at 3-2, at M&T Bank Stadium on Oct. 25 in a game with real weight in the AFC North race. Baltimore's offense would get a lift with Jackson back, but his availability likely won't be settled until closer to kickoff.
