Breitbart headlined it "At Least 95 Dead from Massive Floods in Tibet and Nepal, Hundreds Missing".
Accounts of the missing have varied. Some counts put the number at roughly the following figures. CNBC headlined it "Nearly 1,500 missing in Nepal and China after devastating Himalaya flood". while another tally combined a death toll with a separate missing figure. Among those unaccounted for were a number of Americans. The Daily Wire reported: "More than 50 Americans are among the missing after deadly flash floods swept through several areas along the border between Nepal and China."1 Rescue operations continued for over a week, including efforts to free workers trapped in flooded tunnels, with some survivors pulled out alive well after the initial disaster.
