Fishermen floating in cooler rescued after five days at sea off Mexican coast
Mexico's Navy rescued two fishermen, aged 53 and 32, off the coast of Chiapas, Mexico, after five days after they went missing at sea. The men had been clinging to a fish cooler after their boat sank, and their fishing cooperative had lost contact with them on August 15 and issued a distress call. Naval search teams located them roughly 150 miles (about 240 kilometres) offshore on August 19, brought them aboard, and airlifted them for medical care.
