Dozens missing after gold mine collapse in Central African Republic

A gold mine collapsed in the Central African Republic near the Cameroon border on Tuesday, killing dozens of people including nationals of Cameroon and Chad. The government's official death toll stands at 49, while local officials, the Red Cross, witnesses and relatives of victims say more than 100 people died. As of Thursday, hopes of finding survivors were fading and the search for victims continued.
