Marco Rubio steps in after Tim Walz pardoned illegal alien child rapist before deportation

Minnesota's Clemency Review Commission voted 4-2 to recommend a pardon for Tou Lue (also spelled Tue Lue) Vang, a 42-year-old Laotian national convicted of repeatedly sexually assaulting a girl beginning when she was 10 years old, with several commissioners citing his facing deportation as a factor. Governor Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Natalie Hudson, acting as the state's Board of Pardons, granted Vang a full pardon on June 10. Despite the pardon, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that he terminated Vang's legal status and that Vang had been removed to Laos.
