China: Typhoon Dolphin prompts mass evacuation, canceled flights

Typhoon Dolphin made landfall in China's Zhejiang province on Sunday, prompting the evacuation of more than one million people across eastern China and causing widespread flight cancellations. The storm brought heavy rain, flooding and landslide risks to Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian and other provinces before weakening after landfall. Authorities in Shanghai, Wenzhou and other cities relocated residents, opened shelters and canceled or delayed transport, while the storm had earlier affected Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines.
