Two people convicted in relation to death of French streamer

A French court convicted two men, Safine Hamadi and Owen Cenazandotti, of aggravated violence for their roles in the death of streamer Raphaël Graven, known as Jean Pormanove, who died in August 2025 after being repeatedly subjected to humiliation and abuse during livestreams. Neither was charged with manslaughter, as prosecutors said his death appeared linked to poor health and a fragile heart, and both were acquitted of abusing his psychological frailty since he had told police he consented to the stunts. Hamadi received an 18-month suspended sentence and a €5,000 fine, while Cenazandotti received a two-year suspended sentence and a €15,000 fine; both were banned from posting on the streaming platform Kick for six months. Kick, which is not a party to the case and remains under separate investigation by French authorities, said the ruling concerned only two individual content creators.
