Miss North Carolina USA stripped of title after 'information' surfaces

Brittany Boltinhouse, 27, was stripped of her Miss North Carolina USA title on Wednesday after pageant organizer A-Blaize Productions completed a review of resurfaced social media posts. The posts, allegedly made under the username Sosa the Stallion between 2017 and 2019, reportedly included multiple uses of a racial slur and a reference to herself as toxic. The crown was passed to first runner-up Myla Hadley, 24, who will represent North Carolina at the Miss USA competition in Miami starting Aug. 24. Boltinhouse, who lives in Wilmington and identifies as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a supporter of President Trump, said she believes her faith and political views played a role in her removal, though she stated she does not know for certain.
