Egyptian forward Salah signs two-year contract with Turkish club Trabzonspor

Mohamed Salah has signed a two-year contract with Turkish club Trabzonspor after leaving Liverpool as a free agent. The Egyptian forward flew to Istanbul, where he was met by large crowds of fans, ahead of an official signing ceremony. Salah, 34, spent nine years at Liverpool, winning two league titles and the Champions League among eight major honours, and scoring 257 goals in 442 appearances. He had announced in March he would leave Liverpool after a difficult final season in which he scored 12 goals and had a public disagreement with then-coach Arne Slot; Trabzonspor, a seven-time Turkish champion that finished third last season, will reportedly pay him 17 million euros per season.
