Cape Verde's Vozinha signs with Chile's most decorated football club

Cape Verde World Cup goalkeeper Vozinha has signed with Chilean club Colo-Colo, the country's most decorated football team. The 40-year-old arrived in Chile on August 2nd and the club announced the signing on August 3rd, with the deal reported as a six-month contract with a possible one-year extension. Vozinha, who left Portuguese second-tier side Chaves to join Colo-Colo, gained wide attention during the World Cup for helping Cape Verde advance past the group stage before losing to Argentina in the round of 32. He said the World Cup experience is now in the past and described playing for Colo-Colo as the highlight of his club career.
