Live results: Georgia holds special election for late David Scott's House seat

A special election to fill the remainder of late Rep. David Scott's term in Georgia's 13th Congressional District is headed to an Aug. 25 runoff after no candidate won a majority. Marcye Scott, the late congressman's daughter, and Everton Blair, chair of the Gwinnett County School Board, finished as the top two vote-getters and will face each other. The winner will serve only the remainder of Scott's term, while state Rep. Jasmine Clark, who won a separate May primary, will face Republican Jonathan Chavez in November for the next full term. David Scott died in office in April at age 80; his cause of death was not disclosed.
