Influencer killed by husband after she accused him of pedophilia on TikTok
Oklahoma social media influencer Sara Gilson, 43, was fatally shot on Thursday in Collinsville, allegedly by her estranged husband Jeremiah Duffey, who also went by Shawn Duffey. The deaths, which police say appear to be a murder-suicide, came less than two weeks after Gilson posted a TikTok video accusing Duffey of pedophilia, and about a month after she was granted an emergency protective order following a report that Duffey, a youth basketball coach, had inappropriately touched a minor player. Police said the underlying molestation allegation was referred to the U.S. Attorney's Office because Duffey is a member of the Osage tribe and the incident occurred on tribal land, placing it outside the Owasso Police Department's jurisdiction. Officers found Gilson and Duffey dead of gunshot wounds after responding to a 911 call in which dispatchers heard screaming and what sounded like a gunshot; Gilson's son called 911 from a neighbor's home and was later taken into protective custody before being released to another parent.
