A federal judge, David A. Bragdon, ruled that North Carolina has jurisdiction over an alienation-of-affection lawsuit filed by Heather Ammel against Kyrsten Sinema, allowing the case to proceed. The judge rejected Sinema's argument against jurisdiction, citing nine text messages she sent to Matthew Ammel while he was in North Carolina, and found she knew he lived there with his wife, Heather Ammel, and their three children.
