Romania prosecutors indict Andrew Tate for trafficking minors

Romanian prosecutors from DIICOT have indicted Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate on charges including trafficking minors, sex with a minor, money laundering, and witness tampering. Prosecutors allege the brothers earned more than $1.2 million by coercing a girl into performing sex acts on video chats, with one report describing recruitment and abuse of a teenager occurring between 2012 and 2021. The brothers were previously indicted on trafficking charges, but in 2024 an appeals court in Bucharest sent the case back to prosecutors after ruling some evidence inadmissible; the Tates' Romanian lawyer said the new indictment does not determine guilt and represents another attempt to bring the case to trial after the earlier indictment failed to proceed.
